LICENSED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (PART-TIME)
Position Summary
As a Physical Therapist at Crane Rehab Center Adult facilities, your primary responsibility is to provide quality patient care according to practice standards appropriate to age and disability-related to limitations in function. To document and perform charge related functions. To be responsible for acting as a representative of the profession, Crane Rehab Center, and yourself in a positive manner. To assist in marketing patient care services to the community, physicians, and other referral sources.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
Licensed within the State of employment
Clear track record of superior performance and results.
Strong conceptual, strategic and visionary skills.
Critical thinking skills.
The ability to work with employees at all levels.
The ability to meet changing deadlines and be able to multitask.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent skills in all Microsoft Office Programs including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel, as well as Medical Practice related software.
Certified in CPR.
Job Description
Completion of patient evaluation and outline of an appropriate plan of care consistent with physician orders, third party payor requirements, and expectations of the patient.
Perform patient treatments consistent with care plan.
Perform treatments consistent with skill level and within boundaries of the profession as outlined by practice act and APTA practice standards.
Perform treatment skills with customer service responsibilities.
Document all related information necessary for the outline of the treatment plan, treatment, CPT coding, exercise flow sheets, home exercise programs, patient education, physician reporting, discharge summaries.
Instruct patient in the use of DME supplies
Develop and educate patient/family regarding HEPs.
Direct and supervise treatment provided by support personnel.
Provide accurate and timely reporting of charges consistent with documentation to billing personnel.
Participate in peer-reviewed chart audits
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
Assist in marketing patient services to our community, physicians, and other referral sources.
Participate in community-related marketing events as scheduled and outlined by the Director of Marketing & PR.
Follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm.
Attend in-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements.
Use Performance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety
Essential Functions
Knowledge of Physical Therapy principles and practices, general anatomy and physiology, diseases and post-surgical conditions, body movements and functions, and medical terminology.

Work Environment
Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc…) most of the workday.
Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 100 pounds.
Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, etc): rarely
Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves chemicals, lead, dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements: rarely.
Normal setting for this job is: office in outpatient clinic
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close and Far vision.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
The noise level in the work environment is usually of moderate volume.
