INFANT WELLNESS CLASSES
Our infant wellness classes provide parents with a designated PLAY time with their child and other baby-parent duos and a semi-structured class lead by a pediatric therapist. Classes are structured to stimulate your child’s language, movement, emotional, sensory and cognitive development in a series of fun and engaging activities over the course of an 8-week session.
What sets these classes apart from the rest? This class is led by an expert in child development, therefore they are able to adjust the activity to meet your child’s personal needs. The planning of each group’s session will be fluid and specific to that groups needs and concerns. At the beginning of each session, the parents will suggest specific topics they would like addressed throughout the course of the session. Each topic will either be embedded in activities or set apart as specific information pieces in the education and open discussion portion of the class. Sample topics that will be covered: importance of early movement, positioning, holding positions, tummy time, promoting crawling, play skills, feeding, standing, and walking.
Our group classes are age specific to facilitate connections among parents of children who are going through similar stages of development and to ensure that the information provided will be specific to you and your child. The two distinct groups are as follows:
CRC Early Movers
In this series of classes led by a pediatric physical therapist, parents will have access to information about early infant movement and development in a supportive setting with other parents and babies. Classes will be structured to include information about early movement, positioning, feeding, motor development, and play. Parents will be able to direct the content in this semi-structured one-hour group while engaging with their child in a fun learning environment.
CRC Tumbling Toddlers
In these classes, also led by a pediatric PT, parents will follow a semi-structured series that includes information about crawling, walking, play skills, feeding, and motor development as it progresses from the early stage of infancy to the increased mobility of toddlerhood. Parents will continue to be able to direct the content based on specific inquiries about their children in this one hour 8-week course.
